Abstract

From the years of nineties, in the developed countries a new method of using FRP. (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) materials for repairing and strengthening reinforced concrete countries has been studied and applied. This new method can help to utilize the advantages of high strength capacity of FRP materials. Moreover, the easy application of this method has made it become an ideal solution to choose when repairing and strengthening reinforced concrete structures. In spite of a little disadvantage of pricing, this new method still highly be recommended as it has much more advantages such as: easy and quick application, high performance, no need to use coffer and to ruin concrete structure, etc. Especially, it is usually used for constructions that required characteristics of high water resistance and high resistance to corrosion.
