Abstract

The calculation of the supporting shells for underground constructions must be exact. The over safe caculation will lead to the waste of materials. This paper computes the stress on the boundary of underground structures in two cases : (1) the soil around the vault is considered with elastic deformation model; (2) the soil around the vault is considered with nonlinear deformation model. The use of parameterize method allows to linearization to the boundary of no round vaults. The results showed the nonlinear deformation model has helped to decrease stress around the boundary of the constructions in comparision with the elastic deformation model. The numerial calculations for the boundary of the vault structures show that the stress on the boundary struture in the nonlinear deformation model decrease 25,73% compared to the results from the elastic deformation model.
