Abstract

The safety of Dau Tieng head work based on the design criterion of Vietnamese standard (TCVN5060-90) is lower than the current one (TCVN285-2002) and in the world. Now, checking reservoir safety under the occurence of PMF (Probable Maximum Flood) is necessary. The paper has introduced the checking of Dau Tieng reservoir safety under the occurence of PMF based on the supposition of operation cases of the main spillway gates, forecasting the possibility of any cases which may appear and proposing some solutions of providing spillway.
