Abstract

Extraction of phycocyanin was carried out by salting precipitation method using (NH4)2SO4 concentrations of 15% and 35% (w/v), centrifugation of 4000 rpm and 6000 rpm, 10 min. The precipitate was dialyzed in 8 hour with distilated water, and spray dried to powder. The purification of phycocyanin was realized by gel filtration on sephadex G100 column (2x50cm). The best fraction had high quality with A 20A280 = 4.36. The produce was stable at pH > 4.5, should be preserved in cool and dark condition.
