Abstract

This paper presents the application of geotextile for reinforcement the embankments on soft soil. The different techniques for using geotextile, its installation, its design are discussed in which the function of reinforcement is emphasized. The paper also deals with the use of wick drains for the reclamation of the soil with low boaring capacity.
