Abstract

From the fruit of Artocarpus altilis (Parkinson) Fosberg; four compounds were isolated: 2-formyl-5-hydroxymethylfural(1), epifriedelanol (2), 5-hydroxy-7,4’-dimethoxyflavone (3), and gallic acid (4).The structures of these compounds were determined by spectroscopic methods.
