Abstract

Vietnam brewing is a well developed industry, which makes big contribution to the development of the countrry. On the other hand, the industry magnifies the environmental problem including waste (solid, gas and liquid) and energy consumption (fossil fuel in brief). Based on “zero emission/waste” principle and the analysis of the integrated BAT – ZETS measures (with optimization of process, upsizing and recycling etc.) This study aims to close-the-circle initiative of “zero emission/waste” in general shows its feasibility in this field, through “zero waste/emission model”. In this paper, the suggested zero waste/emission model for Vietnam Brewery Ltd, Dist.12, HCM City – the research’s case study – is established in order to improve clearer the efficiency and feasibility of suitable zero waste/emission model application for Vietnam brewing industry. In accordance with the suggested model, a set of zero emission/waste model application assessment criterios has been developed. The duty of this set of criterios is to define the brewing unit to be feasibility in “installing” this model, or not.
