Abstract

Tetracera scandens is an important herb, used to treat some diseases, such as gout, kidney diseases... The callus is formed from leaf on MS medium (Murashige & Skoog, 1962) supplemented with 2.5mg/l 2,4-D and 0.5mg/l BA. Before induced shoot regeneration, the callus had grown on MS medium supplemented with 0.5mg/BA and 0.5mg/l GA3. Shoot generation is actually induced on MS medium supplemented with 0.7mg/l BA and 0.1mg/l IAA. The number of shoot regeneration is about 26/callus (from 0,3cm' leaf tissue). Shoot origin, role of endogenous hormones and respiration rate in shoot regeneration were analysis.
