Abstract

This paper aims at an introduction of an hybrid- marine vehicle - hovercraft or air cushion vehicle. Due to its original principle of operating, lightly different to the classical displacement ship, some remarks on the design and building are dicussed. The abilities for the exploitation of this type of vehicle is then mentioned taking into account the feasible design, ship registration and new building (prototype).
