Abstract

Mimosa pigra is one of the worst weeds in some tropical countries and it has now been infested in large areas in the Mekong Delta, Viet Nam. Leaf structure was observed under microscope. Respiration, photorespiration, photosynthesis rates and Hill reaction of Mimosa pigra were studied. Relationship between photosynthetic activity and rapid growth capacity was discussed.
