Abstract

This research focused the syrup pre-concentration by nanofiltration. The suitable technological parameters of the membrane separation were as follows (using membrane NFT - 50, Alfa Laval): syrup concentration:16%(w/w), feeding pressure 40bar, pH 4. The process was carried out at ambient temperature. In these conditions, the rejection (calculated on glucose) reached approximately 90%.
