Abstract

The aim of this study is to develop a method of calculation for cohesive sediment transport in the shallow sea basin due to tidal movements. The research is based on the Reynolds equations averaged over depth and the suspension transport equation; the later includes a source function describing the processes of stirring-up and deposition of the sediment. The results of computations for a simple case are verified by an analytic solution. The results obtained from this model is similar to those from the analytic solution.
