Abstract

This article describes a linear statistical modeling method to generate hourly wind speed sequences of whole year from monthly average wind speed data. Comparisons have been made between generated and measured data. The results show that the model proves sufficient reliability to generate input wind speed data series for technical simulation, especially in wind power studies.
