Abstract

This paper presents the structure of a coprocessor (called DIPC-1). The coprocessor implements discrete wavelet transform (DWT) on still image. It also includes interfacing with a DSP or microprocessor, ... LeGall 5/3 filter is selected. DIPC-1 is written by VHDL, synthesized by ISE Foundation, simulated by ModelSim, and implemented on Spartan-III. The results of the design are also included in this paper.
