Abstract

In the desing of machine elements for mass production, every produced item is different from each other. The uncertainties or changes in load, materials and manufacturing quality cause these differences. Thi paper introduces the application of Monte Carlo simulation and response surface methods in reliability based design and analysis of machine elements. The result of calculation and comparison have been carried out in the establishhed comptuter program called Mocsim.
