Abstract

From the coir dust sample, which is collected in processing coir fibres, have been isolated fungi and actinomycete strains which possess CMC-ase activity. Lignin is one of the factors influence cellulose decomposing activity. Using cellulase of these stains in order to treat coir dust to produce bio-organic fertilizer after delignificating by alkali treatment.
