Abstract

Melting and recovering process of SUS 304 stainless steel scraps obtained from reservoir manufacturing and worn equipment of foodstuff and chemical industries has been successfully studied. The result of this process is that austenite stainless steel equivalent to grade 10Cr18Ni9 is obtained. In order to increase practicality and economic effect, the refining and melting process has been completed with casting high quality details in stainless steel in shell mold. Applying studied results in production has reached high economic effect and solved well environmental problem because stainless steel scraps of small size are used nothing apart from melting for recycling.
