Abstract

Vietnamese literature in the later half of XVIII and the first half of XIX was a pinnacle of national literature in Middle Ages. After forming, existing and eight centuries, our literature absolutely has enough conditions and foundations to shoulder its historical mission. This is the most brilliant development age of the literature with many great achievements which are successful in quality and quantity. Nguyễn Công Trứ is a poet making a great contribution to national literature in this age. However, receiving and evaluating his works as well as his personality, we can see that there are many different point of views. This paper is aim to look back the research itinerary of that receiving and evaluating.
