Abstract

In this paper, we will desbribe a method for finding the membrane shape and the edge curve shapes under uniform tension. A surface shape under uniform tension is considered as a soap film stretched in a rigid frame. Its shape is expressed through a non linear differential equation which is approximated to finite difference equations to give numerical solution.
