Abstract

The article presents statistics concerning the folowing three issues : • Choosing between one spelling and another • Spelling foreign names and places • Capitalization It is noted that Vietnamese spelling tends to gravitate towards majority popular usage. However, this usage is often not in accordance with offical standard spelling
