Abstract

Narrator’s discourses in stories by Doan Minh Phuong perform the functions of narration, description and comment. Such expressive discourses not only participate in creating emotion for the stories but also carry symbolic meanings. In addition, narrator’s discourses in stories by Doan Minh Phuong express the combination of different literary genres and art types.
