Abstract
In comparison with South Bahnaric languages such as Kơho, Mnong, Chrau, Ma, the dialect problem in the Stieng language is not complicated. It shows that the Stieng peoples haven’t changed much in terms of residence or, otherwise, the swidden cultivation did not adversely affect the language’s uniformity. Although there are still many comments on the level of difference between two dialects Stieng Bu Lơ and Stieng Bu Deh, in my opinion, the differences are not big, especially since Vietnam was unified in 1975.
