Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate the role of economic theories on the socialist-oriented market economy in Vietnam, and to discuss both their theoretical and practical limitations and shortcomings. The study also points out a number of recommendations to develop and complete the economic arguments for a socialist-oriented market economy in Vietnam.
