Abstract
Thanks to its geodiversity, the Ha Tien – Kien Luong area has several geosites of great scientific, economic, social, educational and aesthetic values. Some geosites were recognized as national beauty spots, and they have been exploited for tourism. However, many of them have been degraded by the natural and human impacts. Research methods including field study, interviewing the people, specialist consultation, and reference to international experiences were used to evaluate the actual state of the geosites. Results of this study determined the current management and conservation of five geosites including Mui Nai, Thach Dong, Da Dung, Hon Chong and Moso. The authors proposed a number of solutions of management models, policy rules, financial planning, community consultation and education, and cooperation.
