Abstract

After a priming with the combination consisted of 13,33 mcg of [D-Ala6, Pro9 Net] - mGnRH (LRH-A, China) and 2 mg of domperidone (Dom; Motilium-M, Jannsen, Thailand) per female kg, the resolving doses of P (10, 15, 20 mg/kg); 17,20P (2, 3, 4 mg/kg) and DOCA (7,5; 10; 15 mg/kg) for oocyte maturation and ovulation in vivo on a Indian major carp Labeo rohita were tested. Optimal doses of P; 17,20P and DOCA were 15, 3 and 10 mg/kg respectively. The fertilization and hatching percentages were normal and comparable with those of conventional method of induced spawning. Influences of used doses of steroid hormones and of the water temperature on maturation promoting effect and the latency were discussed.
