Abstract

Differences in management should not be considered in terms of specific values but in terms of value centrality in countries being studied. The main idea is the differentiation between core and periphery cultural values which reflect their differential social control. The transferability of management theories and practices is determined by the compatibility of cultural value systems between the exporting and importing nations.
