Abstract

Our calculating code is established based on one-half experiment formulas from the TARC experiment at CERN (1999). The purpose is to demonstrate the possibility of using neutrons in Adiabatic Resonance Crossing (ARC) to destroy efficiently Long-Lived Fission Fragments (LLFFs) in Energy Amplifiers (EAS). Apparent cross sections and neutron capture rates of LLFFs 99Tc, 129I were calculated. The calculated results are good agreement with measured data. The code can be also applied to calculate transmutation rate for other elements and in other neutron energy ranges that are not measured in experiment.
