Abstract

When threshing maize on Tangencial thresher, there is pretty high broken percentage of grain which is caused speed of thresher drum. To determine the optimum speed of thresher drum when beating the grain, an instrument was used to finding out the broken percentage when free collision principle is applied. Many experiments are conducted with different moisture of grain and suitable speed of thresher drum. The broken percentage depends on the moisture content and speed of thresher drum.
