Abstract

This article will talk about method of hull design by computer, smooth curbes surfaces design using NURBS surfaces, since that is dominant mathematical used by most hull design and fairing programs. This article discusses some of the flexibility you give up and some of the difficulties you encounter to take advantage of these benefits. Designers should also know more aout the tools they use and understand what restrictions are placed onthem by the program’s user interface and restrictions are placed on them by underlying NURBS hull geometry.
