Abstract

Agriculture and rural development play a very important role in the development of a country. Therefore, even highly - developed countries pay careful attention to their agriculture and the development of their rural areas in their economic structures and in their social development. In our country, the rural areas play an essential part in the development of the nation. The reason is that agriculture and rural areas are not only the targets of the industrialization and modernization policy, but also the reflection of social equality and civilization. In the past few years of agricultural renovation, our country's rural areas have reached certain achievements: ensuring food supply security and shifting the economic structure towards a progressive direction. In order to bring our economy to a higher level, we have to apply the advances of science and technology to our agriculture and the rural areas. Yet, there are some short - comings in our agriculture and rural areas to be overcome, if we wish to carry out scientific and technological applications. The application of science and technology into our agriculture and the rural areas is an urgent task, requiring suitable measures. Furthermore, the development of different peoples in our country are not at the same level, our agriculture and cur rural areas are not well – planned, and the intellectual level of our people is still low. For these reasons, a careful plan when applying science and technology into agriculture and the rural areas is needed to ensure effective results. A subjective, rigid, and imposing measure will never bring about success. What we need is a suitable measure and a suitable pace for such an application.
