Abstract

The land subsidence caused by the lowering of groundwater in HCM city has been cared for by scientists. Nevertherless, this circumstance has not been completely examined yet and there have been many discussions on this problem till now. In order to show this problem more clearly and to raise the urgent demand in researching the land subsidence, the authors analyse the geological factors prevented or caused the development of the subsidence. Moreover, they also propose the suitable locations of subsidence monitoring stations in HCM city.
