Abstract

EDAGrid is one of the very first efforts to prepare for the Vietnamese national Grid infrastructure coined by the VN-Grid initiatives. The paper presents our vision through the VN-Grid initiatives and how EDAGrid project fits in that vision. EDAGrid focuses on building a campus Grid middleware for compute-intensive applications. Based on GT4, EDAGrid develops several high-level WSRF services such as resource discovery, resource information, reservation and job execution which greatly facilitate users in executing requirement-driven and location-transparent Grid applications. EDAGrid will be deployed at HCMUT for computing resource sharing among faculties of the university. It will also play the role of the "fat" grid node middleware of the national Grid infrastructure in future.
