Abstract

Taxus wallichiana Zucc. cell suspension cultures were made from calli derived from young stem segments of Lamdong Taxus wallichiana, on B5 medium with 30g/l sucrose, 5mg/l 2,4-D and 0,5mg/l kinetin. Polyphenols excreted by cells reduced cell suspension growth. Polyvinyl pirrolidone (PVP, 30mg/l) limited effect of polyphenols and increased growth of these cell suspensions.
